Governance structure
- Council of the Royal Society of New Zealand
The Council has a governance role within the Society and consists of the President and the Councillors elected, appointed or co-opted in accordance with the Royal Society of New Zealand Act 1997.
- Committees
The Royal Society appoints multi-disciplinary committees and advisory groups which provide, where relevant, information to the science community, the general public and the New Zealand government. Editorial boards administer the journals produced by the Royal Society of New Zealand.
- The Academy
The Academy's mission is to recognise, support and encourage outstanding achievement and to foster excellence in the fields of science and technology. The Academy also assists and supports the activities of the Royal Society of New Zealand.
