- Advancing Primary Science
a new initiative whereby the The Royal Society of New Zealand recognises the importance of the teaching and learning of science in our primary schools
- BAYERboost scholarships
gives senior secondary school and undergraduate tertiary students experience in environmental research or restoration
- BP Challenge
a team event, challenging them to design and develop 'solutions' to problems using easily resourced materials e.g. paper, string, sticky tape
- CREST
CREST is an international awards scheme designed to encourage Year 6–13 students to be innovative, creative and to problem solve in science, technology and environmental studies
- Environmental Monitoring and Action Project
brings schools, local authorities, research institutions and others together to allow students to carry out monitoring of their local region in an environmental education context
