The Cross Departmental Research Pool (CDRP) supports policy-related research in government departments, and is administered by The Royal Society of New Zealand.
The Cross Departmental Research Pool objectives are to:
Departments can bid for funding to carry out research of critical cross-portfolio interest.
For investments commencing in 2010/11 the Minister of Research, Science and Technology is investing $4.1 million in the Cross Departmental Research Pool.
All government departments interested in applying for Cross Departmental Research Pool funding are invited to submit an Expression of Interest to the Royal Society for New Zealand for consideration.
Applicants who meet the requirements at the expression of interest stage will be invited to submit a proposal.
