IGAC Young Scientist Travel Award

2010 IGAC Young Scientist Travel Award
The Royal Society of New Zealand and the International Global Atmospheric Chemistry (IGAC) Project invite applications for the 2010 IGAC Young Scientist Travel Award. The award is intended to allow one young New Zealand scientist to attend the 11th Science Conference of the IGAC Project to be held in Halifax, Canada, during 11-16 July 2010. Applicants should be: under the age of 35 on 1 January 2010; carrying out research in New Zealand in the general areas of atmospheric chemistry as described on the IGAC website www.igac.noaa.gov and must be prepared to submit an abstract on their work to the conference by the abstract deadline of 15 March 2010.

One award may be made of up to $5,000.

Applications close at 4.00pm on Thursday 18 February 2010 and must be submitted electronically to the Contracts Manager (International) at eddie.davis@royalsociety.org.nz.

Applicants must also include a draft of the abstract you propose to submit to the conference. Confirmation of the award will be made on receipt by Royal Society of NZ of a copy of the conference acknowledgment of abstract submission.

Applicants will be informed of the result of their application by 26 February 2010.
