Ascomycetes of New Zealand 5. Mycocalicium schefflerae sp. nov., its ascal ultrastructure and Phialophora anamorph

Abstract Mycocalicium schefflerae sp. nov. is proposed. Colonies derived from isolated asco-spores produced a Phialophora anamorph. Ultra-structure of the ascus was studied and found to be of the Parmelia type. Taxonomy of the Mycocaliciaceae is discussed.
