Arthrorhaphis Th. Fr. (lichenised Ascomycotina) in New Zealand

Abstract Two bipolar lichens in the genus Arthrorhaphis Th. Fr., are recorded from New Zealand viz., A. alpina (Schaerer) R. Sant, and A. citrinella (Ach.) Poelt. Details of their morphology, anatomy, and distribution are given, together with a discussion of bipolar lichens in New Zealand.
