Contributions to a chromosome atlas of the New Zealand flora ó 29 Myrtaceae

Abstract Documented somatic chromosome numbers are provided for 19 species and 2 reputed hybrids in the 6 genera of the New Zealand Myr- taceae as well as 11 Australian species of the genus Leptospermum. All New Zealand taxa are diploid (2n = 22). Leptospermum minutifolium and L. myrtifolium from Australia are tetraploid (2n = 44).
