Abstract  One hundred and seventeen taxa in 50 families are reported as additional or newly substantiated records for the weed flora of New Zealand during the 6-year period 1988-1993; one additional species previously considered indigenous is now accepted as part of the naturalised flora. Most records are for Acanthaceae (5), Asteraceae (9), Caprifoliaceae (5), Fabaceae (6), Lamiaceae (11), Myrtaceae (6), Rosaceae (6), and Solanaceae (7). A record of one further taxon is unsubstantiated. A list of major typographical errors in the Flora of New Zealand, Volume IV, is provided.
