The status of Raukaua edgerleyi var. serratus and R. xparvus comb. nov.

Abstract Raukaua edgerleyi var.
serratus is
considered to be a hybrid between
R. edgerleyi and
R. simplex,
and the new combination
R. x
serratus is made. This nothospecies
differs from the putative parents by leaf and floral characters.
Panax
simplex var.
parvus ([[equivalence]]
Nothopanax parvus),
representing hybrids between
R. anomalus and
R. simplex, is also
transferred to
Raukaua as
R. x
parvus.
