DOWNSTREAM MOVEMENT OF FRY OF GALAXIAS FASCIATUS GRAY (NOTE)

Abstract The fry of Galaxias fasciatus Gray were recorded for the first time, being carried downstream on a flood. Attempts to rear the fry in tanks in fresh and in salt water were unsuccessful, but those kept in salt water began to feed and survived for several weeks.
