OCCURRENCE OF HYDROCLATHRUS CLATHRATUS IN NORTHERN NEW ZEALAND WATERS

Abstract Hydroclathrus clathratus (C. Agardh) Howe (Phacophyta: Punctariales) is recorded from two harbours on the Northland east coast, North Island, New Zealand. The possibility of its being a recently introduced species is discussed.
