Abstract  Broad-nosed weevil (Curculionidae: Brachycerinae: Entimini) species found on the Lammermoor and Rock and Pillar Ranges, and the Logan Burn Reservoir area in eastern Otago, are listed. A key to the species of Brachycerinae: Entimini known from the area is given, and four new species of Irenimus are described: Irenimus curvus, I. similis, I. dugdalei, and I. patricki. Descriptions with illustrations of these and other species of Irenimus found in the area are given. Notes on the biology of Irenimus species are provided where possible. It is noted that specimens of both I. stolidus and I. aemulator found near the study area in the Strath Taieri plain, have been found parasitised by Microctonus aethiopoides, a parasitoid introduced to control the lucerne pest Sitona discoideus.
