David Suzuki, the influential and hugely popular Canadian scientist, educator, broadcaster and activist will deliver a “last lecture”. He describes this as “a distillation of my life and thoughts, my legacy, what I want to say before I die”.
In his only Wellington appearance, Dr Suzuki will reflect on the massive changes in the world within his living memory – from explosive population growth and massive technological developments to the establishment of a global economy. Ultimately, he has faith in human beings’ capacity for innovation and urges us all to dream of a better world and set out to make it happen.
The lecture will be held at 6pm on Thursday 11 November 2010 in the Embassy Theatre cinema, 10 Kent Terrace.
