Membership fees in New Zealand dollars include GST, and are for a full calendar year. During the first calendar year of membership, the membership fee charged will depend on how far we are into the year at the time you join, to a maximum of the full annual rate.

- For Standard (including Student) membership, you’ll be redirected straight to a secure site for electronic payment by credit card.
- If you choose Professional membership, you’ll be prompted to upload a copy of your CV, so please have a copy of your CV ready to upload (filetypes .doc, .docx, .pdf, .rtf or .txt are all accepted). Approval is advised by email, usually within two to three working days, with a link to follow to complete your registration securely.

Other membership categories
Fellows are elected by the Academy of the Royal Society of New Zealand and Companions are appointed by Council. Membership in these categories is not available by application. Read more about Fellows and Companions and their nomination and selection processes.
