The Cooper Medal is awarded biennially to the researcher (or researchers) who, working within New Zealand, has published original research within the fields of physics or engineering that is of particular merit and either addresses a specific need, or is likely to have a beneficial impact, in or for New Zealand.
Applications for the 2016 Cooper Medal will be called for in late 2015.
