Please note: From, and including 2017, the Hector Medal will be awarded annually for chemical sciences, physical sciences or mathematical and information sciences, rather than one discipline per year in rotation:
to the researcher who, working within New Zealand, has undertaken work of great scientific or technological merit and has made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of the particular branch of science.
The medal will not normally be awarded in the same discipline two years in a row.
Nominations close on 30 April 2017. The call for nominations for the 2017 round will open in early 2017.
