The Jones Medal is awarded biennially, for lifetime achievement in pure or applied mathematics or statistics by a person with substantial connections to New Zealand.
The Jones Medal is accompanied by a prize of NZ$5,000 awarded by the NZ Mathematics Research Institute (Inc.)
The Jones Medal will next be offered in 2014. The closing date for application is 30 June 2014.
