The 2010 competition required teams to make something for the:

  1. Sumatran tigers, or
  2. One of the Parrot species – macaw, kea, or cockatoo.

Open to all Primary, Intermediate and Year 9-10 students.

Task

Your task is to design and make, either to mock-up or prototype stage , a device, or toy to prevent boredom or stereotypical behaviour for one of these species. You will need to:

  • Show that you have researched the characteristics and needs of the animal you have chosen. Your final product should have the features that address these needs.
  • Take a picture/pictures of your mock-up or prototype (Entry details below)

Closing Date

  • Entries must be received before July 2, 2010

  • Each entry must be accompanied by the filled out entry form.
  • Schools may send in multiple entries but each entry must be accompanied by its own entry form
