- Mr John Carpenter, Alabama A&M University to be hosted by the Royal Forest & Bird Protection Society, Auckland
- Mr Jason Funk, Stanford University to be hosted by Landcare Research, Palmerston North
- Ms Anjum Hajat, University of North Carolina to be hosted by the University of Otago, Wellington
- Ms Rozalind Jester, University of California, Santa Cruz to be hosted by the Cawthron Institute, Nelson
- Ms Keren Lehavot, University of Washington to be hosted by the University of Auckland
- Ms Leah Loebach, University of Connecticut to be hosted by the University of Canterbury, Christchurch
- Mr Nicholas Pyenson, University of California, Berkeley to be hosted by the University of Otago, Dunedin
- Ms Moriah Sandy, University of California, Santa Barbara to be hosted by the University of Canterbury, Christchurch
