Commencement
Successful applicants must commence their programme of research within a year of award notification.
Workshop
As a condition of the Fellowship, Fellows will participate in an annual workshop organised by the Royal Society of New Zealand. The next Rutherford Discovery Fellowship workshop will be held in Wellington on 27 November 2012.
Contract Reporting
Reporting on the progress of the programme of research is a contractual obligation of the Fellows. Reporting due dates are detailed in the Fellowship Contracts. Reports are submitted through the online portal, Reporting On-Line, which is accessed via a login URL sent to researchers one month before their report is due.
Acknowledging Rutherford Discovery Fellowships
Acknowledge, when and where appropriate, the provision of funding support from the New Zealand Government by using the following phrase: “Supported by the Rutherford Discovery Fellowships from Government funding, administered by the Royal Society of New Zealand” or similar wording.
