The Minister of Research, Science and Technology has provided the Royal Society of New Zealand with funding to assist organisations and institutions to host major international conferences in New Zealand. It is anticipated that international conferences held in New Zealand will enhance New Zealand’s research, science and technology credibility, promote international recognition of New Zealand as a centre for innovation, and assist researchers to develop relationships with world leaders in their respective research areas. Funding is available to assist with international guest speakers travel, baseline contributions for conference planning and promotion, and for specific conference activities.
There is no closing date for applications. Applications will be treated on an ad hoc basis and each application will be subject to assessment and evaluation and dependent on the availability of funding.
