CREST is an international awards scheme designed to encourage years 0-13 students to be innovative, creative, and to problem solve in science, technology and environmental studies.
CREST projects can also help provide the evidence for NCEA assessment and be used as entries to regional science and technology fairs and other such competitions.
Primary CREST
Primary CREST activities have been designed to motivate primary students and to develop their interest in Science and Technology.
First CREST and Team First CREST
First and Team First are awards for practical projects, generally for Y6-8 students and can take 6 weeks to 1 Term to complete.
Bronze CREST and Team Bronze CREST
Bronze and Team Bronze are awards for more independent projects, generally for Year 8-10 students and can take up to 1-2 Terms to complete.
Silver CREST Awards
Silver and Team Silver are awards for challenging projects, generally for Y11-13 students and can take 3-4 Terms to complete.
Gold CREST and Team Gold CREST
Gold and Team Gold are awards for advanced projects, for Year 12-13 students and take 6 Terms to complete.
