The matter in museums: stories from the stores

This month, our Café Scientifique speaker is Chantal Knowles, Head of Human History at Auckland Museum. Chantal Knowles has worked for over 25 years in museums including the Pitt Rivers Museum; National Museums Scotland; Queensland Museum and Tāmaki Paenga Hira.

In this talk she shares her journey and relates how encounters with objects in museums have shaped and transformed her approach to curation. Her research has taken her around the world.

The talk will begin at 6:30pm sharp in the downstairs function room. Accessible entrance is directly off the carpark. The Café Scientifique series is brought to you by the Auckland Museum Institute, the Auckland branch of Royal Society Te Apārangi.
