- Start a project log.
- Choose an interesting issue, problem, question, or topic.
- Explore ideas.Discuss your ideas with others
- Find a mentor/consultant and identify an assessor.
- Start project plan and timeline. Clarify aim, need or opportunity.
- Prepare and submit a project proposal and send to CREST.The information provided is used by a Silver CREST reviewer to confirm that ideas are suitable for a CREST project. The reviewer will look at the following questions when considering projects:Is your project safe? Is it ethical? Is it feasible? Is it challenging? Is it a CREST project?
- Finalise Project plans.
- Carry out the plans.
- Collate and analyse results.
- Compile a report.
- Produce a project poster (for Silver Challenge only)
- Present poster (for Silver Challenge only)
- Self-assess project using the Criteria for Assessment sheet. When all is complete, have final meeting with assessor.
- Congratulations! Prepare to receive your Silver CREST certificate and badge.
