How to apply for selection to attend our Powering Potential programme.
Current Status
Unfortunately, Powering Potential will not be held this year.
We are currently working to develop a new version of Powering Potential for 2024.
Details on this new programme will be posted here at the start of 2024.

Eligibility criteria
All costs are covered by this programme which is held in Te Whanganui a Tara Wellington over 3 days.
- Tauira Student has to be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
- Tauira Student must be in Year 12 or Year 13.
- Tauira Student should be achieving well in their studies.
- Tauira Student should be studying a science, technology or a mix of science and social science subjects.

What the tauira student needs to include in their application
Year 12 or 13 tauira students who meet the eligibility requirements can apply to attend Powering Potential:
Each entry must contain the following:
- POWERING-POTENTIAL-APPLICATION-FORM-2022.docx
- Testimonial written by a teacher at your school.
- A one minute video. The judges want to get to know who you are. This is your chance to show us where you’re from and what makes you, you.
