MapNet is a group of New Zealand-based molecular and quantitative geneticists involved in research related to genomics.

This meeting encompasses the health, primary production, and environment sectors. MapNet aims to coordinate scientists from different organisations using common technologies and analytical platforms, to foster the development of multidisciplinary and cross-sector research genomics projects, and to facilitate knowledge exchange between researchers.

Session topics at MapNet2019 include Primary sector genotyping and breeding, Ecological and evolutionary genomics, Māori kaupapa/Te Ao Māori into genetics/genomics teaching and research, Genomics and eDNA, Methodology advances in statistical genetics, and Human and health genomics

MapNet2019 themes include primary sector genomics, bioinformatics, integrating indigenous genomics into research and teaching, methodology advances, and ecological & evolutionary genomics. The program will be updated closer to the date.
