The 2019 Ngārimu video competition is an opportunity for your local kura to take a deeper look at the deeds of the Māori battalion.
The 2019 Ngārimu video competition is an opportunity for students to learn more about the deeds and the history of the 28th (Māori) Battalion.
While it is open to anyone, the competition is aimed at Māori students ranging from Year 7-13.
Entries should be in the form of a short 3-5 minute video that tells a story about the Māori battalion or a person or unit within it.
There are two prize streams, te reo Māori and English/bilingual, and generous cash prizes for the winners.
The competition closes 26 July 2019.
