Science Workshop for West Coast Primary and Intermediate Teachers
Unpacking the science curriculum through classroom practice using activities designed to support both teachers and students learning how to discover, share, and explore their world through science.
"Science is a way of investigating, understanding, and explaining our natural, physical world and the wider universe. It involves generating and testing ideas, gathering evidence – including by making observations, carrying our investigations and modelling, and communicating and debating with others –in order to develop scientific knowledge, understanding, and explanations” (Ministry of Education, 2007, p. 28).
This workshop/presentation will unpack this curriculum statement through classroom practice using activities designed to support both teachers and students learning how to discover, share, and explore their world through science.
