“On behalf of Royal Society Te Apārangi, I would like to express our deepest sadness on hearing of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
Her Majesty has lived a life dedicated to serving the people of Britain and the wider Commonwealth.
She was greatly admired for her steadying hand over her extraordinary long period of service and will be greatly missed.
Our thoughts are with her whānau at this difficult time.”
