Pūtake tūranga | What you will do
As a Kairuruku Kirimana Ao Whānui | International Contracts Coordinator you’ll support and oversee international funding application and contract processes, ensuring accurate tracking and timely delivery. You’ll manage contract evaluations, reconcile financial reports for completed contracts, and act as a key contact for Research Offices nationwide. Your work will also involve coordinating international memberships, overseeing delegate selections for global research and scientific unions, and preparing high-quality reports. You’ll support leadership initiatives, organise the events for manaakitanga hosting of international visitors and provide flexible administrative support within the wider funding team.
Pukēnga | Skills and experience
To succeed in the role, you’ll need to be a self-starter who enjoys connecting with people, learning new things, working collaboratively and finding creative solutions to barriers. You’ll bring a strong background in administration or contract management, with a sharp eye for detail and systems accuracy. Your excellent organisational skills and confident communication style will help you liaise with diverse stakeholders across the research ecosystem. We’re looking for someone proactive and adaptable, who thrives in a dynamic environment and can juggle multiple priorities with ease. Experience in research funding or international partnerships is a plus, as is the ability to draft clear documentation and manage data confidently.
Te Mahi | Job description
This is a full-time permanent position.
Salary range current midpoint: $84,700. The midpoint is reviewed and adjusted annually in line with the applicable Stats NZ Labour Cost Index movement.
The full salary range is 85% - 115% of the midpoint. An expected appointing salary will be up to the midpoint, depending on skills and experience of the successful candidate.
