Response to 2010 Draft New Zealand Energy Strategy and Energy Efficiency & Conservation Strategy
2010: In September, the Society responded to the Government’s Draft New Zealand Energy Strategy highlighting the opportunities for renewable energy, domestically produced biofuels, energy efficiency, and energy innovation. There is a growing domestic demand for both low-carbon energy and low-carbon energy technologies. The response raised with Government the Society’s previous work on climate change and energy.
