Gillian Dobbie FRSNZ: From data to machine learning
Gill’s research has focused on getting information from data. Initially Gill studied how to reason over data in a mathematical sense, and how we can implement that reasoning in efficient algorithms. Subsequently her focus has moved into the world of data mining, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
