Murray Close FRSNZ: Groundwater research - making the invisible visible
The UN World Water Day in 2022 focused on groundwater – a critically important hidden water resource. Murray provides two illustrations: how the structure of heterogeneous alluvial gravel aquifers impacts contaminant transport in groundwater; and looking at the diversity of natural groundwater ecosystems and their functional roles in groundwater.
