New Zealand has a fickle relationship with the Pacific, oscillating from intensive engagement to indifference and forgetfulness. Yet, as in centuries past, so many of New Zealand’s largest and most serious challenges centre on the Pacific and Pacific people in New Zealand —climate change, New Zealand security, productivity and global influence. In this presentation, Damon will explore the question: How did we get here, and where do we go?
