The Jones Medal is awarded biennially, for lifetime achievement in pure or applied mathematics or statistics by a person with substantial connections to New Zealand.

The Jones Medal is accompanied by a prize of NZ$5,000 awarded by the NZ Mathematics Research Institute (Inc.)

Current status

The 2024 round is now open. The deadline for nominations is 31 March 2024.
