The Jones Medal is awarded biennially, for lifetime achievement in pure or applied mathematics or statistics by a person with substantial connections to New Zealand.
The Jones Medal is accompanied by a prize of NZ$5,000 awarded by the RSNZ Endowment Fund Trust.
Current status
The 2024 round is now closed. Nominations will open again in January 2026.
