The Hamilton Award (formerly called the Hamilton Memorial Prize) is awarded annually for the encouragement of early-career researchers currently based in New Zealand for scientific research in New Zealand. The Award consists of a framed certificate and $2,500. This prize is associated with the Hamilton Lecture every third year.
From 2017, this prize has been known as the Hamilton Award (Royal Society Te Apārangi Early Career Research Excellence Award for Science).
The 2020 round has opened with a closing date of 1 April 2020.
