Throughout life, enzymes called kinases act as master conductors to control cell behaviour, including life or death. James will demystify the biological functions of the catalytically dead cousins of kinases – the pseudokinases. He will focus on how the MLKL pseudokinase kills cells by an inflammatory celldeath pathway called necroptosis.
